Morning business news round-up for April 25, 2014

1. Singapore's factory output jumps 12.1 per cent in March. This comes on top of a 13.1 per cent jump in February's production, which was revised up from a previous estimate of 12.8 per cent growth.

2 Stamford Tyres opens Singapore's largest tyre and wheel warehouse centre. The $25 million centre has 2.3 ha of floor space, and will include a warehouse and retreading facilities for tyre recycling

3. Private home prices in Singapore slip 1.3 per cent in Q1. All segments of the market saw price declines but the steepest drop was in the city-fringe areas, where non-landed home prices slid 3.3 per cent in the first three months of the year.
