Singapore-based education firm MindChamps has opened its first nursery in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in collaboration with an Abu Dhabi firm.

The nursery, with specially designed classrooms and age-appropriate indoor and outdoor play areas, will enrol children aged from 45 days to four years, MindChamps said in a statement.

The facility plans to "nurture holistic development of children and provide a head start for young learners", said Mr Henning Fries, chief executive of Bloom Education, MindChamps' partner in the venture.

MindChamps said its model of early childhood education has been developed by a team of educationists over almost two decades of research and development.

It already has branches in Australia, the Philippines and home base Singapore.

Mr Fries added that the tie-up will mark an important milestone in Bloom Education's efforts to expand its footprint throughout Abu Dhabi's education sector.

Bloom Education, which is the specialist education division of developer Bloom Holding, plans to roll out more MindChamps nurseries throughout the UAE over the coming years.
