SINGAPORE - A weak presidential debate in the US and continuing geopolitical uncertainties aside, market sentiment last week remained generally stable, enabling stocks to make some gains.

Semiconductor plays on Wall Street, which had gone through a bout of of turbulence lately, regained their footing, though brokers cited a perceptable rotation to other megacaps and midcaps as well.
