SINGAPORE – After several days of bloodletting caused by the unwinding of yen carry trades, concerns over tech valuations and fears of a US recession, equity markets regained their composure
On Wall Street, the Dow Jones Industrial index ended on Aug 9 just 0.6 per cent lower for the week at 39,497.54 points, while the S&P 500 closed flat at 5,344.16 points after taking a 4 per cent nosedive earlier in the week. The Nasdaq gave up 0.18 per cent for the week to 16,745.30 points.
