What is value investing?

Everyone loves shopping at a discount. Similarly, value investing is "shopping" for stocks that are temporarily undervalued in the market.

The core concept of value investing lies in placing intrinsic value on a stock - a perceived price through fundamental analysis, personal observations and assumptions as the market does not always accurately reflect the true value of a stock.
