Phishing is a way of obtaining sensitive personal information such as your bank account details, personal identification number (PIN), password, credit card numbers and so on, in order to perform unauthorised banking transactions.

The trick phishing scammers usually pull is to send e-mails, instant online messages or even text messages, falsely claiming to be a bank or other reputable organisation.
