The amounts placed with fund mangers around the world shot up last year.

Total assets under management (AUM) of the 500 largest fund managers rose 15.6 per cent to US$93.8 trillion (S$128.8 trillion) as at the end of last year, according to Willis Towers Watson's Thinking Ahead Institute.
