Local Everest pioneer achieved financial freedom before 50, a goal he set for himself

When motivational speaker and mountaineer David Lim was 42, he set what seemed an impossible goal - financial independence before 50 - yet it became just another peak he managed to scale.

He reached that particular summit five years ago when he turned 49, thanks to his multiple streams of income from business and property and a modest lifestyle.
