We speak to Malaysia Smelting Corporation group CEO and executive director Patrick Yong Mian Thong.

Malaysia Smelting Corporation (MSC) was founded in 1887 and is one of the world's leading integrated producers of tin metal and tin-based products and a global leader in custom tin smelting.

MSC has since grown to become the world's largest independent custom tin smelter, producing 27,085 tonnes last year. It gained the distinction for being one of the world's top producers of "four nines" tin, which is of 99.99 per cent purity.
