After 14 years in the banking and consultancy sector, finance executive Steven Seow felt it was time to chart his own course and set up shop on his own.

With a start-up capital of $100,000, he opened Singapore Consultancy in 2016. The firm advocates the "portfolio career" concept by converting former senior bankers into management consultants and deploying them in banking projects across Asia.
