The markets are volatile but 82 per cent of professional fund buyers are confident that their average return target of 8.4 per cent this year is achievable, according to a new survey.

It found that the most popular strategies for managing risk include diversifying by sector (cited by 91 per cent), risk budgeting (80 per cent) and increasing the use of alternative investments (75 per cent) like private equity.
