Singapore institutions will have help capitalising on opportunities in China's education and training sectors, with the launch of the new Singapore Talent Development Alliance.

The alliance is made up of seven players from the public and private sector: Civil Service College, ITE Education Services, Nanyang Polytechnic, Nanyang Technological University, National University of Singapore, NTUC LearningHub and Singapore Management University.

In partnership with IE Singapore, these institutions will bring together various courses catering specifically to the Chinese market.

The services include courses on leadership training, diplomas, vocational and technical skills training.

The move comes as China faces a growing need for education and training as the country undergoes an economic restructuring.
