Goodpack 'in talks over possible offer for company'

Singapore packaging company Goodpack said on Wednesday it was talks with parties who may be interested in making an offer for the company.

In a filing to the Singapore Exchange, the mainboard-listed firm said it has been "approached by parties in connection with a possible transaction, which may or may not lead to an offer for the shares of the company".

Discussions are currently underway and "there is no certainty whatsoever that these discussions will result in any transaction", Goodpack added.

The firm halted trading in its shares at 11.47 on Wednesday morning and resumed trading around 2pm, after releasing its filing to the bourse.

Shares of Goodpack jumped as much as 7.2 per cent to $2.24 after the announcement, from $2.09 on Wednesday.

Goodpack has appointed Rippledot Capital Advisers, which is headed by former DBS chairman Koh Boon Hwee, as its financial advisor in connection with such approaches.
