Frasers Tower office building to be ready in 2018

SINGAPORE - Developer Frasers Centrepoint revealed plans on Tuesday for the latest commercial tower to hit the Central Business District, as a string of new office developments are slated for completion in the next three years.

Frasers Tower, a 38-storey project in Cecil Street, will add 690,000 square feet of net lettable area to the commercial leasing market when completed in 2018.

The project comprises a Grade A office tower and an adjacent three-storey retail podium, set within a 17,200 sq ft green park.

"Frasers Tower's strategic location at the gateway to Singapore's core central business district, unique location in a park, coupled with its combination of workspace and nature, will make it an attractive office and an iconic addition to Frasers Centrepoint's existing portfolio of well-recognised properties," said Mr Lim Ee Seng, group chief executive of Frasers Centrepoint.

The 235-metres tall office building, designed by DP Architects, will have column-free floor plates of between 19,000 to 21,000 sq ft, with green spaces such as a roof garden and an open terrace.

Its office lobby will be directly connected to the Tanjong Pagar MRT station through an underground pedestrian walkway.

CBRE and JLL have been appointed as official marketing agents, and leasing activity is expected to start at the end of the year, said Frasers.
