Singapore has become such a key player in the global semiconductor sector that it is attracting companies to expand here, including French firm Soitec.
The company, which manufactures semiconductor materials, expects to provide 30 per cent more jobs here next year, and might eventually double its headcount in the Republic to reach full capacity.
