Dimmer growth outlook for next year

Economists surveyed by the Monetary Authority of Singapore expect Singapore's economy to grow 1.8 per cent next year, in a more downbeat prediction than their median 2.1 per cent forecast made in June.

The official forecast for next year is not out yet.

Economists said this was a reflection of weakening overseas demand.
