Canada values Singapore's support for a potential FTA with Asean

Both countries also committed to deepening their bilateral ties, says Canadian minister

Canada will continue to pursue a free trade agreement (FTA) with Asean to expand trade and investment with one of the world's fastest-growing markets, Ms Mary Ng, Canada's Minister of Small Business, Export Promotion and International Trade, told The Straits Times.

Ms Ng said she appreciated Singapore's support for Canada's efforts to deepen ties with the 10-nation trading bloc, which is also at the heart of Asia's security architecture.
