SINGAPORE – Dozens of video and audio feeds were transmitted from Singapore to Britain within 200 milliseconds – less than the time taken for the human eye to blink – during the Formula One Singapore Airlines Singapore Grand Prix in September.

This transmission speed and bandwidth have made it possible for much of the broadcast production work to be done remotely from Britain, regardless of where a race is held, with around 500 terabytes of data generated over each race weekend.
