The value of the Central Provident Fund Investment Scheme (CPFIS) rose marginally last year.
The overall performance of the CPFIS went up by 10.73 per cent last year, slightly better than the 10.35 per cent gain in the previous year.
Lipper, the official fund tracker for the CPFIS, said the overall performance improved as CPFIS-included unit trusts increased by 11.93 per cent.
CPFIS-included investment linked insurance products, meanwhile, added 9.91 per cent last year.
Equity funds were the top performing asset class, rising by 14.41 per cent on average as global stock markets, particularly developed ones, jumped last year.
Bond funds saw a dip of 1.04 per cent last year as investors sought higher returns from other asset classes on brighter global economic outlooks.
