Trade war, oil price fears hang over market

STI at lowest level since last October; commodities trader Noble most active

A week of worry over the escalating global trade stand-off left the local market in a sour mood yesterday ahead of key talks on oil output.

The Straits Times Index (STI) tracked overnight Wall Street losses to shed 12.6 points, or 0.38 per cent, to 3,287.4, after touching a low of 3,270.15 in the morning.
