Thai Beverage's Q1 net profit rises 10%

SINGAPORE - Net profit rose 10 per cent to 6.53 billion baht for the first quarter, on the back of a 11 per cent rise in revenue to 45.7 billion baht.

This was due to an increase in sales revenue of its spirits business of 9.9 per cent, beer business of 17.5 per cent, non-alcoholic beverages business of 7.9 per cent and food business of 8.2 per cent, it said.

The company noted that international sales continued to grow in the first quarter, registering a 4.5 per cent increase from a year back, primarily in beer sales.

Earnings per share was 0.26 baht, a rise from 0.24 baht a year back.

Net asset value was 4.22 baht at March 31, up from 4.03 baht at Dec 31.
