Zuellig Pharma invests in health tech start-up

Healthcare service provider Zuellig Pharma has invested in Singapore-based health technology start-up Klinify.

Klinify, a cloud-based clinic management solution, helps doctors migrate to electronic records using tablets.

"We see Klinify as a platform to take clinic management into the digital age. We will do this by making existing Zuellig Pharma services, such as product ordering and inventory management, available through the application," said Zuellig Pharma head of strategy and solutions Maarten Kelder.

"This will make it easy for doctors to automate these processes, reducing the complexity of clinic management."

$3m seed funding for Spout Entertainment

Local e-entertainment start-up Spout Entertainment Group has received $3 million in seed funding from business builder Reapra, which invests in and works with emerging tech firms in South-east Asia.

The funds will finance Spout's expansion into markets such as Myanmar, with up to $835,000 to be committed to providing free education resources to the local community.

Spout helps to connect the gaming audience in the region by providing multimedia content regarding favourite games, players and teams.

Spout also said it has acquired Zaany Technologies, which specialises in marketing campaigns, technology consulting and mobile applications.

It said Zaany's expertise in designing mobile applications will be a useful addition to Spout's capabilities.

It will allow it to build a live-streaming portal for e-sports influencers, to better connect with their fan followings and let brands market their products via 10-second advertisements.
