Singapore's Xpress Holdings ties up with partners including UPS

SINGAPORE - A unit of Xpress Holdings, a Singapore-listed printing company, has partnered with United Parcel Service of Singapore (UPS) and S. F. Express to offer new services, the company said on Thursday.

Its subsidiary, Xpress New Media, will provide documentation services like completion of airway bills and shipment invoices, as well as tracking services right up to delivery.

The collaborations with UPS and S. F. Express will not only provide Xpress New Media's corporate customers with greater convenience for their logistical needs, but will allow it to extend its services to retail customers, the company said.

UPS is the world's largest global logistics provider while S. F. Express has the largest courier network in China.

Xpress Holdings has also agreed to tie up with suppliers of corporate gifts and premiums to offer its customers the option of creating and sending tailor-made presents.

All these partnerships are expected to have a positive financial impact on the group's revenue for the next financial year, it said.

"With these collaborations, Xpress has repositioned itself to a service-oriented business, providing a range of value-added services beyond just financial printing," said Xpress Holdings executive chairman KK Fong.

The group's share price was unchanged at 0.8 cents in the first half an hour of trading on Thursday. In July, Xpress Holdings placed out new shares to repay its creditors.
