Singapore shares open higher on Monday; STI up 0.4%

SINGAPORE - Singapore shares opened 0.4 per cent higher with the Straits Times Index up 12.7 points to 3,545.92 as at 9.02am on Monday (Feb 26).

About 97 million shares worth S$92 million in total changed hands as gainers outnumbered losers 123 to 33.

The most actively traded stock was Rowsley, which rose S$0.014 to S$0.131 with 34.1 million shares changing hands.

Other actives included Thai Beverage and Genting Singapore.

Active index stocks included DBS, up S$0.1 or 0.34 per cent at S$29.69; and OCBC Bank shares trading up S$0.1 or 0.75 per cent at S$13.47.
