SINGAPORE - Singapore shares opened lower on Friday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index at 2958.38 in early trade, down 1.71 per cent, or 51.40 points.
Around 118.5 million shares exchanged hands.
Losers beat gainers 184 to 21.
