SINGAPORE - Singapore shares opened higher on Friday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index at 2,785.82 in early trade, up 0.45 per cent, or 12.51 points.
Around 34.3 million shares exchanged hands.
Gainers beat losers 71 to 36.
