SINGAPORE - Singapore shares opened lower on Monday (May 16), with the benchmark Straits Times Index at 2,723.31 in early trade, down 0.42 per cent, or 11.6 points.
Around 200.8 million shares exchanged hands.
Losers beat gainers 89 to 53.
