SINGAPORE - Singapore shares opened lower on Thursday (June 8), with the benchmark Straits Times Index at 3,230.30 in early trade, down 0.01 per cent, or 0.19 points.

Around 62 million shares exchanged hands.

Gainers beat losers 64 to 50.
