SINGAPORE - Parcel Perform, a Singapore-based e-commerce logistics start-up, said on Monday (Jan 22) that it has raised US$1.1 million (S$1.3 million) in seed funding.
The round was led by Wavemaker Partners, a venture capital firm headquartered in Singapore and Los Angeles, and participated by 500 Durians, the South-east Asian fund of California-based 500 Startups. Existing and new angel investors took part as well.
Parcel Perform said it will use the new capital for "worldwide growth" and to expand its product offering.
Its self-service software provides merchants with a branded tracking page for all their global and local carriers and offers them the opportunity to send shoppers continuous updates about the status of their shipment in real-time.
Merchants also have access to a comprehensive customer service interface and an intuitive and actionable analytics to compare their carriers' performance worldwide, the firm added.
Chief executive and founder Arne Jeroschewski said: "This is a very exciting time, not only for our growing Parcel Perform team but also for merchants worldwide. Online shoppers are demanding more of e-commerce merchants, especially when it comes to the after-checkout experience.
"We help drive merchants' growth and improve their customers' loyalty. This round will allow us to further broaden our reach and product portfolio."
