SINGAPORE - Shares of Raffles Education Corporation (REC) soared after they resumed trading on Friday morning (Oct 22), as traders homed in on the depressed counter for some quick gains.

After hitting a high of 7.3 cents in early trading, the stock settled at 7.2 cents by mid-afternoon for a gain of 18 per cent or 1.1 cents.
