SINGAPORE - Many shops shuttered this year after bearing the brunt of the Covid-19 crisis, but one category of retail stood its ground with no shortage of customers, becoming even more popular, in fact, in the thick of things.
Supermarkets and hypermarkets continue to reel them in, with takings at the till rising by 22.3 per cent over the same time last year in October, according to the Department of Statistics.
