Metro Holdings on trading halt pending announcement after death of MD Jopie Ong

SINGAPORE - Retailer and property firm Metro Holdings requested a trading halt on Wednesday (Feb 3) at 8.15am, pending an announcement.

This follows the death on Tuesday night of Mr Jopie Ong Hie Koan, the group managing director.

Mr Ong, who was in his 70s, had helmed Metro Holdings since 1973.
