Meghmani Organics makes money from higher pigment, agrochemical sales

SINGAPORE - India-based Meghmani Organics has posted a 32.5 per cent jump in net profit to 228 million rupee (S$4.9 million).

This came on the back of an 11.2 per cent rise in revenue to 11.57 billion rupee for the year ended March 31.

Meghmani's pigment business turned in a stellar performance, with a 27.7 per cent jump in revenue to 3.33 billion rupee.

Its agrochemical business, which forms the largest component of turnover, raked in revenue of 3.97 billion rupee, up 16.8 per cent.

Revenue from its caustic chlorine product, however, fell by 9.1 per cent to 2.62 billion rupee.

Earnings per share rose to 0.9 rupee from 0.68 rupee previously while net asset value per share grew by 1.13 rupee to 24.13 rupee.

An unchanged final dividend of 0.1 rupee a share was proposed.
