Markets highlights

1 Malaysia's central bank reserves as at Oct 30 were US$94 billion (S$132 billion), just under the US$94.1 billion it reported on Oct 15, Bank Negara said in a Reuters report. The sum was enough to finance 8.7 months of retained imports.

2 Hyflux has entered into a joint venture to develop infrastructure, utilities and environmental solutions for an integrated township project in the Morogoro district of the African nation of Tanzania.

3 Jumbo Group said that it attracted strong interest from investors for its initial public offering of 88.233 million shares at 25 cents each. The offer was eight times subscribed.

4 Moody's Investors Service has withdrawn the Ba3 corporate family rating of Golden Agri-Resources. The rating outlook was negative at the time of its withdrawal. Moody's has withdrawn the rating for its own business reasons.

5 Standard & Poor's has put SingPost's A long-term corporate credit rating on credit watch, saying its growth strategy may affect its business profile and financial strength. But Alibaba's upcoming investment will temper the effect.
