1 Emerging-market stocks headed for the longest stretch of weekly gains in five months as Chinese shares advanced and investors speculated that the United States would refrain from raising interest rates this year, Bloomberg reported.

2 Nestle, the world's largest maker of packaged foods, warned yearly sales growth would fall below its long-term target this year after weak sales in Asia, raising concerns about its position in major emerging markets, Reuters said.

3 SinoCloud yesterday entered into a placement agreement with four parties, issuing them 1.377 billion ordinary shares at an issue price of 0.35 cent each, raising gross proceeds of approximately $4.82 million.

4 Moody's Investors Service says that the sale of Rivervale Mall enhances CapitaLand Mall Trust's financial flexibility and also positions the trust well within its A2 issuer rating.

5 CapitaLand Malaysia Mall Trust posted RM59.8 million (S$19.9 million) in net property income for the quarter to Sept 30, up 18 per cent year on year. Distributable income was RM41.7 million.
