1 The European Central Bank left interest rates unchanged, as it looks more likely that its medium-term inflation target will be missed, due to lower oil prices, weaker growth in China and a stronger euro, Reuters reported.

2 The number of jobless claims in the US rose last week. The number of applicants filing for unemployment benefits was higher than expected, but the underlying trend remained consistent with a strengthening labour market.

3 Based on his research of historical stock market valuations, Nobel Prize-winning economist Robert Shiller told CNBC yesterday, that he sees the "risk of substantial declines" ahead. "The market is high now," he said.

4 Hu An Cable noted that 12 of its customers have complained that certain products made by its unit, Wuxi Hu An, did not comply with relevant specifications. The customers are terminating all payments. Hu An is investigating the matter.

5 PACC Offshore Services said it has been served with a writ of summons and statement of claim by Kensteel Engineering, relating to a property PACC was planning to buy from it.
