Market highlights

1 Chief executive Carsten Kengeter said Deutsche Boerse has no indications that regulators plan to block a proposed US$30 billion (S$41 billion) merger between the German exchange operator and LSE Group, according to Reuters.

2 Singapore's FTSE ST China Top Index generated a total return of 11.7 per cent over the past three months, taking its year-to-date decline to 4.1 per cent. The consumer staples sector has been the best performing sector.

3 Loyz Energy's second largest shareholder will be investment fund Wave Link. The largest remains Jit Sun Investments. Ex-chief financial officer Jeffrey Pang is chief exec while managing director Adrian Lee will become a non-executive director.

4 Mainboard-listed Cityneon has placed out 40 million shares, including 20 million new shares, at 55 cents apiece. The stock has been placed with CMC Holdings and other investors.

5 Oxley's retail bond offering of four-year, 5.15 per cent per annum retail bonds were oversubscribed on the first day of its launch.
