Market highlights

1 Gold, one of this year's best performing assets, has room to extend its advance, according to top-ranked forecasters, even as the rebound shows signs of losing steam, Bloomberg reported.

2 SGX-listed Regal International said its unit, Regal Lands, has agreed with Malaysia Innovation Hub (MIH) to jointly collaborate in developing and commercialising innovations identified by MIH.

3 MMP Resources has signed an agreement with Maiora Asset Management. MMP Resources will issue $600,000 worth of convertible notes to a Maiora fund. It may also issue up to 25 million free detachable warrants.

4 Logistics player GKE Corp said that the amounts raised from a rights issue have gone towards payment for a carrier vessel and repayment of the group's borrowings.

5 BreadTalk bought back 299,200 of its shares yesterday. The price was $1.03027 per share and total amount was about $309, 200.
