Lufthansa has signed a route sharing deal with China's flagship carrier Air China. It caps two years of talks and will boost Germany's biggest airline's access to the world's fastest growing aviation market.

1 A unit of Keppel DC Reit, Keppel DC Reit Fin. Company, has obtained a €40 million (S$61 million) five-year term loan facility. The loan is guaranteed by Perpetual (Asia) Limited, the trustee of Keppel DC Reit.

2 UOB-Kay Hian Holdings has purchased 500 additional shares in its listed Thai unit UOB Kay Hian Securities (Thailand) at 3.54 baht (13.9 Singapore cents) apiece. UOB-Kay Hian has a direct 70.65 per cent stake in the unit.

3 A factory owned by a unit of China Sky Chemical Fibre has been damaged by Typhoon Meranti, which hit southern China last week. Its roof was ripped off and some windows broken, causing water damage to equipment and goods.

4 Deutsche Lufthansa and Air China have signed a cooperation agreement. The two are forming a joint venture and plan to share revenue on China-Europe routes when the venture takes off next year.

5 Intel Corp, the world's biggest semiconductor maker, has hired former eBay finance head Robert Swan as its chief financial officer, replacing Mr Stacy Smith, who is taking a wider role within the company.
