1 SGX-listed Broadway Industrial has agreed to sell its foam plastics solutions and flow-control device businesses to US private equity firm Platinum Equity for $150 million.


2 British and Malayan Trustees, which made a loss of $1.78 million for the quarter ended June 30, said it is looking at a restructuring of the company, to give it the flexibility to engage in new businesses.


3 SGX-listed pipe maker and distributor Sinopipe said that its auditors have given its latest financials a "disclaimer of opinion". For example, the auditors say they do not know if the company can continue as a going concern.


4 SGX-listed property firm HLH has agreed that Mr Goi Kok Neng will take up 600 million new shares at a price of 0.6 cent each, or a total of $3.6 million.


5 Property player Chiwayland International said its subsidiary Suzhou Chiway Shangcheng Real Estate has been successful in its bid for the land-use rights of a land parcel in Suzhou City in China's Jiangsu Province.
