Interplex shares surge after takeover offer

SINGAPORE (REUTERS) - Shares in Singapore-listed Interplex Holdings surged over 11 per cent at the start of trading on Thursday (Dec 24) after a takeover offer from Baring Private Equity Asia.
Shares opened at 79 Singapore cents, the highest in over a month.
On Wednesday, Baring Private Equity Asia said it was looking to offer S$450 million to buy the engineering company, majority owned by CVC Capital Partners and the private equity arm of Standard Chartered.
