SINGAPORE - Media and marketing group Fung Choi Media called for a trading halt before markets opened on Thursday, pending an announcement.

The firm's share price has taken a tumble in this week after it announced last Friday, Aug 29, that it had been granted an extension to issue its financial statements for the full year ended June 30.

It was supposed to have released its financial year 2014 earnings results on Aug 29.

Fung Choi, an associate of Fraser & Neave, had said it needed more time to file its results due to the loss of a key finance personnel, chief financial officer Woo Yiu Chung, who resigned in April.

It also said it needed to issue further disclosures on its supply chain management business after a preliminary review of the full-year results.

Shares of Fung Choi have fallen by 2.3 cents or 26.7 per cent to Wednesday's closing price of 6.3 cents since it announced the extension of the reporting deadline.
