SINGAPORE - The curtain has fallen on Ng Yu Zhi's business empire as firms linked to him are in the process of being wound up by liquidators.

The former director of Envy Global Trading held shares and directorship in about 30 companies before he was charged in March with fraud and cheating hundreds of investors of at least $1.2 billion, making it one of Singapore's largest suspected fraudulent trading schemes.
