SINGAPORE - Local company PacificLight Power looks an improbable pioneer at first glance, but it is on the frontiers of the brave new world of renewable energy.
The company is working on an ambitious pilot project that will allow Singapore to import solar energy via subsea cables from Pulau Bulan, an Indonesian island near Batam, from around 2025.
