Sembcorp Marine

Sembcorp Marine's Brazilian unit Estaleiro Jurong Aracruz has won additional work worth about US$145 million (S$195.1 million) from a Petrobras-led consortium.

The so-called "hull carryover works" is for the consortium Tupi BV and is on top of a project that Tupi had awarded Estaleiro Jurong Aracruz in July 2012 for a floating production storage and offloading vessel.

"Barring any unforeseen circumstances, Sembcorp Marine expects a positive contribution to its earnings from the contract," the firm said in a statement to the Singapore Exchange.

Vard Holdings

Singapore-listed shipbuilder Vard Holdings has won a contract to design and build a small vessel for cruise operator Coral Expeditions of Australia.

The vessel is designed for small-ship expedition cruises to remote destinations across the Asia-Pacific region, said the mainboard-listed firm.

The value of the contract was not disclosed by the company.

The 93.5m-long vessel will be able to accommodate 120 guests. It is slated to be delivered from Vard Vung Tau in Vietnam in the first quarter of 2019.
