Company Briefs: Keppel

Keppel Data Centres Holding and PCCW Global - the international operating division of HKT, Hong Kong's premier telecommunications service provider - have set up what is called the PCCW Global-Keppel International Carrier Exchange (ICX) in Hong Kong.

The PCCW Global- Keppel ICX offers more than 7,800 sq ft of dedicated network facility management space.

The ICX is connected to the submarine cable landing stations of Hong Kong and other major data centres. It aims to meet demand for network security, among other things, on the back of cloud services and big data, for instance.

Property and entertain- ment company KOP said yesterday its associated company Epic Land plans to sell eight units in Prudential Tower.

These are strata-titled office units with a strata area of about 55,711 sq ft, and will be sold to "an unrelated third party", said KOP.

The firm will give more details once the sale and purchase agreement is signed. The buyer has six weeks -with an option to extend for a further two weeks - to conduct its due diligence review.

KOP president Ko Chuan Aun is also an independent director and shareholder of Lian Beng Group, and an independent director of KSH Holdings. Those two firms are the holding companies of Epic shareholders.
