ZiiLabs, a wholly-owned unit of Creative Technology, has filed a patent infringement lawsuit in the United States against Nvidia Corporation.

The ZiiLabs patent portfolio contains patents in the graphics, processor and 3D spaces.

Four of these patents have been asserted in the lawsuit, in which ZiiLabs is claiming damages for patent infringement, said Creative in a pre-market filing yesterday.

Creative had previously announced that Intel, Apple and Samsung had each taken a non-exclusive licence to ZiiLabs' patent portfolio.

Jaya Holdings

Mainboard-listed Jaya Holdings will be delisted from the Singapore Exchange (SGX), following the failure of its proposed reverse takeover of Papua New Guinea finance firm Heduru Moni.

It must also make an exit offer to its shareholders within a month from Oct 2. Listing rules state that a reasonable exit offer may include a voluntary liquidation of the company's assets and distribution of cash back to shareholders.

Trading of the company's securities will continue until 5.05pm on Nov 1, after which it will remain suspended until completion of the exit offer.

Jaya Holdings said it terminated the proposed Heduru Moni acquisition on Monday after it failed last month to obtain pre-clearance from the SGX. The exchange had said Heduru Moni was not suitable for listing after considering the nature of its business, together with the jurisdiction risks of the acquisition target.

Singapore Airlines

Singapore Airlines (SIA) has teamed up with ride-hailing and payments platform Grab to launch a joint booking scheme.

SIA customers can now book rides on Grab to airports through SIA's mobile app. This is available in six countries across South-east Asia: Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.

In addition, members of Grab's GrabRewards programme will soon have the flexibility to convert their GrabRewards points into SIA KrisFlyer miles.
