SINGAPORE - Mainboard-listed BBR Holdings (S) has successfully secured a new solar leasing contract with a unit of GKE Corporation to install a solar photovoltaic (PV) grid-tied system.

Under the 25-year power purchase agreement with GKE Warehousing & Logistics, BBR will design, install, commission and maintain the system which comprises 1,848 high efficiency crystalline panels to be installed on the rooftop of the warehouse at Pioneer Road.

Upon the project's commissioning in the first quarter of 2015, the system is expected to generate more than 576,000KWh in the first year and will account for 80 per cent of the energy needs of GKE.

Separately, The People's Buddhism Study Society has engaged BBR to design, install and commission a glass-to-glass solar canopy PV system at its Geylang premise to tap solar energy.
