All eyes on G-20 this week

Spotlight is on the Trump-Xi meet at event; Fed update also closely watched

All eyes will undoubtedly be on the G-20 Leaders' summit held in Buenos Aires, Argentina, this week on Nov 30 and Dec 1, and more significantly, the dinner date between US President Donald Trump and China President Xi Jinping. Singapore's Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong will also be attending the global event.

UOB analysts noted that the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (Apec) summit, which ended without a joint communique for the first time in history, has put a lot of uncertainty to the outcome of the Trump-Xi meeting, even though Mr Trump believes that China would like to have a deal.
