A big data week for Singapore with the highlight being the gross domestic product (GDP) figures due on Tuesday which are expected to show economic growth improved slightly in the third quarter. The Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) is also likely to stick to its tight monetary policy stance as core inflation has picked up.

A slew of Chinese data this week will be will pave the way for the all-important third quarter GDP numbers on October 21, slumping Germany is braced for poor ZEW sentiment data while US Federal Reserve and European Central Bank chiefs will be watched closely for any signals about monetary policy.
